Jean L. Henderson, 63 of Sioux City, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at a local hospital.

Services will be held 11 am Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Burial will be 10 am Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Jean was born on March 5, 1950 in Sioux City, the daughter of Raymond and Jeanette (Smith) Speckmann. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1968. 

On December 5, 1980 Jean was united in marriage to Billy Henderson. Billy died in 2009. Jean worked at various companies in the area, and retired from Gateway. Family was the most important to her, and she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Jean is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and she enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years.

Jean is survived by her daughters Kimberly Benton, Stephanie and her husband David Conner, Sarah and her husband Favian Salgado and Jamie and her husband Rick Williams and, Jessica Henderson; her brothers, Randy Speckmann and his wife Judy and Ron Speckmann and his wife Deb; her grandchildren, Tyler Lourens, Katelynn Lourens, Brenden Frisbie, Kristin, Scott, Layla Conner, Ronan Salgado and Alayna Salgado, Nicolas Fancher, Dezi Henderson and Faith Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Jeanette Speckmann, her husband Billy, and three grandchildren, Emmaline Scott, Raymond Scott and Mitchell Scott.
