Michael Steven Keleher, 66, of Kamuela, Hawaii, formerly of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at his residence.

Burial will be in West Hawaii Veteran's Cemetery. Private family services will be at a later date.

Michael was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Sioux City, to Robert and Beverly (Riecks) Keleher. He grew up in Sioux City, and graduated from Heelan High School in 1968.  Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve. After two years of service, including active duty, he settled in the Sunnyvale, Calif., area.

He married Susan Ferroni Jan. 31, 1976. They later moved to Nipomo, Calif., where they lived until 2004 when they moved to Kamuela.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Susan of Kamuela; sisters, Patti Keleher (Jerry McDonald) of Sioux Falls, S.D., Colleen Larson and Susan Streck (Jack Pfaffle) of Elkhorn, Neb.; brothers, Douglas Keleher of South Sioux City and Patrick (Lana) Keleher of Sioux City; and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Beverly; a sister, Maureen; and a nephew, Jack Keleher.
