Funeral services for Michael John Somsky, 20, an Army warrant office candidate of rural Sioux City, will be at 11am Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Frank J. Brady will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Larkin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Thompson, Michael Wanser, Donald Parks, Thomas Mullen, Edward Beacom, and Marvin Dandurand.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Simon, Shaun Dennehey, Joseph Craig and Gary Uhl.

The Rosary will be recited at 7 o’clock tonight at the funeral home, and at 7:30 o’clock by the Heelan High School class of 1968.

WOC Somsky died Friday June 5, 1970 at a Columbus, Ga., hospital of injuries received in an automobile accident May 31. 

When Michael John Somsky was born on March 15, 1950, in Sioux City, Iowa, his father, John, was 27 and his mother, Augusta, was 26. He had two siblings.
