Donald Loren Parks, 71, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on February 26,2022. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa to Loren Francis and Lucille Jerine (Ruring) Parks.

Donald grew up in rural Moville, Iowa where he attended school through eighth grade before attending Bishop Heelan Catholic High School in Sioux City, Iowa. Upon graduation he attended Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa where he majored in agriculture. Donald married Ollie Crawford on September 3,1988 at their home in Moville, Iowa. He farmed for a few years before deciding to drive a truck full time and he loved every minute of it. In 2011, Donald retired from truck driving and would come to Junction during the winter and it was in 2016 he made Junction his new home. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Loren and Lucille Parks; sister, Jerine Schlotman and brother, Tom Parks.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Ollie Parks; sons, Jeremy and wife, Tera Parks and Justin and wife, Laura Parks; step son, Wade and wife, Demetra Manders; sister, Shella Rooney and husband, Pat as well as seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3,2022 at Kimble Funeral Home from 10AM to 12:30 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church at 1PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 with burial to follow at Junction City Cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will follow the burial at Paddler’s Porch.
