Marybeth Howard, 47, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 15, 1997, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be at 11:30 Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. James A Bruch officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Nov. 17, with the family present from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at the Larkin Northside Funeral Home.
Mrs. Howard was born on March 25, 1950, in Sioux City, the daughter of Charles G. and Alice E. (Bartunek) Bauer. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1968.
She married Brad Howard on May 1,1971, in Sioux City. She was employed as an assistant editor for Woman Image LTD for three years. In 1983 she was employed with Toy National Bank and was currently working at Norwest Bank.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Leah and Laura Howard of Sioux City; a son Jason of Sioux City; her mother of Sioux City; eight sisters, Pam and her husband Mark McQuade of Kansas City, KS, Katy and her husband Bill Forsling of St. Joseph, MO., Patti Blackwell of South Sioux City, Joani and her husband Ralph Brown, Lucy Bauer, Barb Bauer, Peggy and and her husband Kevin Scherrman and Tressie Bauer, all of Sioux City; three brothers, Tim of San Diego, CA, Chad of Greensboro, NC and John and his wife Darla of Sioux City; a grandson, Devine Howard; and 26 nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her father and a grandson, Christopher Howard.
Pallbearers will be mark McQuade, Bill Forsling, Ralph Brown, Kevin Scherrman, Adam Dean, Daniel Blackwell and Jacob Brown.
