Memorial services for Airman 1.C. Donald Lee Kritzer, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Kritzer, 1403 W. First St,, who was killed in a military plane crash Oct. 2 in Taiwan, will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (October 31, 1970) at St. Boniface Catholic Church.  The Rev. Odoric Akwick will officiate.

A mass burial service for 23 of the men killed in the crash will be Nov. 20 at Jefferson Barracks near St. Louis, MO.

Airman Kritzer was born June 24, 1950 in SiouxCity.  He was graduated from Heelan High School in 1968.  He attended St. Mary of the Plains College in Dodge City, KS before enlising in the Air Force October 2, 1969.

Survivors besides the parents include three brothers, David of Sioux City, Douglas and Donald, both at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Sandy (Diane) Zimmerman of Sioux City, Debra and Deanna, both at home; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Joseph (Catherine) Nilles of Remsen, Iowa; and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hdva Touchet of Jenning, LA.

Note:  This obituary states that Dan's name was Donald L. Kritzer. However, the name listed next to his senior picture in our 1968 yearbook is Daniel L. Kritzer, the name he was called by.  The list of survivors shows a brother named Donald still living at home. The obituary states that he graduated from Heelan in 1968, so this must be our classmate, Daniel.  Barb Vondrak Atchison, Website Administrator
