Philip Joseph Sewell, 59, formerly of Sioux City, died Oct. 9, 2009, in Green Valley, Ariz.
Memorial services were held Oct. 14.
Philip Joseph Sewell was born Dec. 5, 1949, in Sioux City. He graduated from Heelan High School. He was married to Donna Morin on Dec. 26, 1970, in Sioux City. He served for many years in the Navy Reserves as a master of arms first class of security and weapons. He retired as the supervisor of corrections for the state of Iowa.
He was a member of the Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers and Our Lady of the Valley Parish.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Donna; a son, Alex (Jen) of Minneapolis and their children, Morgan and Alex; a son, Brad (Nicole) of Hinton, Iowa, and their children, Logan, Cameron and Madison; a daughter, Molly (Nick) Novotnty of Frisco, Texas, and their children, Lucy and Lincoln; a son, Eric of Tucson, Ariz., and his daughter, Keiley; a son, Adam of Tucson; and his mother, Helen Sewell of Sioux City. https://siouxcityjournal.com/news/local/obituaries/philip-j-sewell/article_bef7c033-bd7a-5a8f-b2a9-91201a38ec27.html
